THE BUSINESS TIMES. 8TH JULY: SINGAPORE-BASED HiLife Interactive on Thursday announced that it has secured S$8 million in Series A funding from software developer Shanghai 2345 Network Holding Group.

HiLife, which provides estate management companies and homeowners with smart solutions, said that the funds would be used to double its presence in South-east Asia with new markets like Cambodia, and break into the Australasian and European markets by the end of this year.

HiLife Interactive will also leverage Shanghai 2345’s technological know-how to bring its HiLife solution to commercial, hospitality, healthcare and educational institutions.

For instance, HiLife’s asset management system allows real-time monitoring of a facility’s security and visitor systems and can use lighting and energy meters to detect incidents and inefficiencies.

HiLife Interactive’s deputy chief executive officer Sam Ho said that the HiLife platform has helped keep people safe, helping homeowners with contactless booking of condominium facilities and managing online shopping deliveries through its visitor systems.

Through the HiLife 360° Smart Access system, estate managers can better oversee their developments by tracking facilities, feedback, payments, contracts, residents, vehicles and assets such as security systems and lighting, all through a dashboard.

“There was a spike in interest from estate managers and developers, and we grew our contracts by over 300%,” Mr Ho said, adding that the company hopes to adapt its platform to different needs of different countries.

To date, HiLife Interactive works with 30 property management companies to provide its HiLife platform to over 80,000 households in more than 300 condominiums in Singapore. It also has a presence in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Back in 2015, property developer Qingjian Realty (South Pacific) Group launched HiLife as a mobile app that provided Qingjian homeowners with curated services and information within their developments.
