NEW STRAITS TIMES. 3RD OCTOBER: At least 256 private housing projects with a gross development value (GDV) of RM23.37 billion had been revived as of August this year, according to the Local Government Development Ministry.
Deputy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said these housing projects received Certificates of Completion and Compliance (CCC), Certificates of Occupancy (CFO), or were changed to progress status.
He said that based on the success rate in August alone, 34 housing projects were rehabilitated.
These included 27 projects that received CCC and seven that were returned to active progress status, Bernama quoted him as saying this after launching the Housing Integrated Management System yesterday.
Akmal said the ministry will continue ‘resolving and preventive’ measures in collaboration with local councils, technical agencies, private bankers, and Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam through the Task Force for Problematic (sick) Private Housing Projects (TFST).
