THE STAR. 4TH MARCH: Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) and government-owned credit guarantee agency Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan Bhd (SJKP) are collaborating to provide housing loan guarantees for PR1MA home buyers.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the collaboration for the PR1MA Innovative Housing Loan Scheme would allow more Malaysians to own a house and in line with the government’s “One family, One house” aspiration.

“The buyers-friendly initiative will open more opportunities for the public, especially young and middle-income people, to own a PR1MA house without worrying about financing.
“I am confident that this initiative will allow more people to own a house, including those who are having problems getting approval for housing loans.
“This is among important issues that were brought up during the National Affordable Housing Council recently and now we can see the results of the meeting,” he said in a speech during a visit to Residensi Larkin Indah here on Friday (March 4).

He added that the SJKT was set up to support those who do not have the documents needed to make a housing loan such as a payslip and an Employees Provident Fund (EPF) slip.

Also present were Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican and Johor caretaker Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad.
