THE EDGE. 5TH NOVEMBER: MGB Bhd, a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd, has taken the path less trodden and embarked on an industrialised building system (IBS) journey that has culminated in permanent and mobile IBS factories. The speed of delivery has been shortened with minimal wastage and defects, while providing peace of mind that the homes the residents live in are well constructed.
Its permanent factory is situated in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and is semi-automated, with a small group of workers manning production lines in an efficient manner. During the pandemic, the low number of workers allowed the factory to continue operations.
MGB recently linked up with Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB), a subsidiary of the Selangor government under Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) (MBI), to develop the Rumah Idaman MBI series that will total 7,210 high-rise units once fully completed.
